Getting It Right: How Loose Garms Focused on Quality and Craftsmanship - Loose Garms

When we launched Loose Garms, we promised ourselves one thing: we would never release anything we wouldn’t wear ourselves. That meant taking the time to find the right materials, working with different suppliers and going through multiple rounds of samples until we had a product we truly loved.

This wasn’t about cutting corners or chasing trends; it was about building a UK streetwear brand that values quality, sustainability and comfort in every stitch.

Finding the Right Fabric

The foundation of any great piece of clothing is the fabric. From the start, we knew we wanted something that felt premium: soft, durable and comfortable for everyday wear. After testing countless materials, we landed on 250 GSM cotton as the core of our collection.

Why 250 GSM? It’s the perfect balance between structure and comfort. Heavy enough to feel substantial and last through years of wear, yet breathable enough for layering or year-round use. It’s that premium weight you can instantly feel when you pick up one of our tees or hoodies; the difference between fast fashion and real quality.

The Sampling Process: Getting Every Detail Right

Once we had nailed the concept and fabric, it was time to get hands on. We went through multiple rounds of samples; refining fits, testing colour fastness and tweaking design details until everything was perfect.

Each round brought us closer to the final product: streetwear that not only looks great but also feels incredible. From the softness of the cotton to the precision of the embroidery, every piece had to meet our standard of being “good enough to live in”.

There were moments of frustration; samples that didn’t fit quite right, colours that looked different in real life and delays that tested our patience. But it was all part of the process. We didn’t want to launch fast; we wanted to launch right.

Launching a Product We Truly Love

By the time we reached our final sample, we knew we had something special. The fit was perfect, the fabric felt premium and the finishing touches made all the difference: from the tags to the packaging.

Every t-shirt represents months of effort, collaboration and learning. When you wear Loose Garms, you’re wearing something built with purpose; not mass produced, but crafted with care and intention.

We’re proud to say we’re launching a product that not only meets our standards but hopefully exceeds yours too.

What Quality Means to Loose Garms

For us, quality isn’t just about thickness or softness; it’s about longevity, comfort and integrity. It’s about making streetwear that holds up through everyday life, looks good after every wash and reflects the values we care about: creativity, community and doing things the right way.

We’ll always keep improving, testing and refining; because the Loose Garms promise is simple: no shortcuts, just quality you can feel.

See you in the next blog post.

Stay Loose.
